Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Micheal Jackson, and now Billy Mays. ONE WEEK.

WHAT THE HECK.

I already liked Billy Mays, and was interested in marketing and copywriting, (fydk copywriting is a totally different thing from copyrighting) Pitchmen was my second favorite show on TV second only to Mythbusters and get to liking Billy Mays more than ever before, and then BOOM totally random out of nowhere he's dead.

Too bad.

Not to minimize the people I've mentioned, but they are people I look up to/fanboy over I'd be far more emotional about "losing" that I'm just going to be thankful that they're still around now.

The first response I read on the news site where I found out about Billy Mays was some right wing nut talking about how Billy Mays was a "conman" and that got was punishing him for taking advantage of people and how Billy was "just like Obama and stealing from the american people" and so on.

How stupid do you have to be to call Billy Mays a conman for SELLING THINGS. Sure they may be thing you personally don't want or find useless, but that dosen't make him a "conman". He'd have to be lying about his products or selling deliberately defective merchandise for any of his pitches to be "cons".

Also, right wingers in my experience are laissez faire capitalists, so this position that Billy Mays or television advertising in general is somehow a "scam" or "unamerican" is especially stupid and nonsensical.



I edited together the remaining segments of me and Rob watching Nintendo's E3 09 conference. I'll post another tomorrow and then probably post one every other day until they're all uploaded.

I found a site that sells vegetarian MREs. Maybe some time I should get a pack and take videos of me trying them out to put on the site or something.
